Climbing Mt Warning with a large group of like-minded individuals with the company and support of Sturt Boyd, son of Marlene Boyd , followed by a protest rally in Uki with about 200 people, to support reopening the 115 year old summit track to the public. Glass House FOI - Gotta love the bureaucracy QLD Bureacracy follow the same path as their NSW counterparts in release of documents requested through FOI about potential closure of long established routes in our National Parks. Last July 023 I placed an application under the QLD Right to Information Act 2009 relating to the closure of the Glasshouse Mountains. My initial inquiry requested "Documents, reports and correspondence relating the closure of Mt Beerwah, Mount Tibrogargan and Mount Mt Coonowrin." After some discussion with the FOI officer the terms of reference for my inquiry were altered to the following: "All documents containing consideration by the Government to permanently close any of the Glasshouse Mountains to preserve the cultural heritage of First Nations peoples." A Mt Warning Visit, summit signing Drove up the long road from Sydney, leaving early to grab a beer at the Mt Warning Hotel at Uki in the afternoon. There's a nice view of the summit from the smoker's deck. The tip of the mountain was catching clouds and then letting them go. I met Roger, a one-legged ex- navy seal and former security guard to Gloria Estafan. He was an interesting bloke, sucking a large Cuban cigar and slamming spiced rum on ice. He had one eye, apparently, he had lost the other blue pearl in a firefight with Somali terrorists in the Persian Gulf. We had a brief discussion of current affairs and the insanity of public parks being closed for no good reason, and vandalism of the tourism industry by a woke broken Bureaucracy - just light conversation. Some renewed media interest in access bans at National Parks and Climbing areas following reports that climbers at the Grampians are facing covert surveillance by Park Officials leading to Stasi like behavouir from the Orwellian "Victoria’s First Peoples — State Relations Unit". The potential fines for being in the wrong place are up to $346,000, but with very poor signage how would you know? This mirrors the behavior of NPWS Park Officials chasing down walkers at Mt Warning and issuing notices to attend meetings or provide information that may incriminate them.  Four protesters who climbed on Australia Day with permission of Ngarakwal women are in legal limbo as NPWS delay taking any action on information they were forced to provide. Given these are summary offences it's likely the statute of limitation has run out and NPWS have missed their opportunity to issue fines. Wait and see. On the weekend Australians overwhelmingly voted NO to The Voice. Rejecting a poorly thought-through proposal that would see the country divided on grounds of Race. In saying NO to a bad idea and proposal from woke activists they reaffirmed the sentiment expressed by Martin Luther King that we should be judged on our character and not the colour of our skin. Congratulations Australia! This outstanding result is now a catalyst for further change. A chance to step away from further division, and a chance to unify the country under one flag, as one unified people working together for common goals of individual liberty, mutual respect and personal responsibility.  Part of this must involve renewed emphasis from Governments to fair and reasonable access to the natural wonders in our National Parks that help define us.
